Individual Liberty

Every person has the right to live their lives as they see fit, as long as it does not interfere with the individual liberties and rights of another person. People should be free to express themselves without fear of harassment by those who disagree with them.

When it comes to medical decisions and your own personal health, the individual should be the sole decision maker. No person should be harassed, threatened, or coerced into undergoing a medical procedure that they do not want.

Public Safety

Public Safety should be a major concern among our elected leaders. However, when concerns are raised, they are often ignored or dismissed as fear mongering.

These are current statistics, according to COMPSTAT, the NYPD's own reporting apparatus.

Year-to-Date Metrics Citywide (Updated November 10th, 2022):

Among the seven major crimes, the only metric that has decreased is murder, down 14.4% from this time last year.

However, crime rates have increased in the following six categories:

Rape- +10.9%

Robbery- +31.5%

Felony Assault- +13.9%

Burglary- +28.4%

Grand Larceny- +37.8%

Grand Larceny Auto- +34.2%

Clearly, these statistics do not represent a decrease in crime rates, as some elected leaders would like you to believe.

The safety of all who live in New York City is paramount, and our elected leaders should make it a priority to keep us all safe. However, they must also listen to the concerns that are raised among diverse neighborhoods all across the city. Genuine concerns should not be simply ignored or dismissed as looking to frighten people.

Building a coalition of top public safety officials to tackle the increase in crime would be a top agenda point.

Ballot Access

The voters of New York deserve to have more choices on their ballot, aside from Democrats and Republicans.

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo set up a commission in 2020 that decided to change New York election law to add some of the most restrictive ballot access requirements in the country. These new restrictions wiped out the ballot access that the New York Libertarian Party previously attained in the 2018 Gubernatorial election.

Third-party candidates deserve to have the same opportunities that Democrats and Republicans are afforded to gain a place on the ballot.

By changing the Ballot Access requirements to lessen the burden of petition gathering, candidates won’t have to waste valuable time and resources on an outdated and oppressive practice that does nothing but eliminate real competition in the voting booth.

Ranked-Choice voting

With Ranked-Choice Voting, you rank your favorite candidates in order of preference. Instead of having only two choices on a ballot and having to choose one, you can have a variety of choices representing various political parties. You can rank these candidates in order of preference.

With Ranked-Choice Voting initiated, political candidates will have to appeal to a majority of voters across all political parties, not just their specific base.

Government Transparency

The first step is in improving transparency is to create an NYC Office of Transparency that will ensure oversight of government officials’ conduct. Creating this office would help identify the best leadership practices – successes will be replicated and failures will bring necessary growth and change. More importantly, leadership will be subject to greater public scrutiny and held accountable for their corrupt deeds.
